For this meditation, we’re going to do the exact opposite of what we typically do. I’m sure you’ve heard the expression we have 60,000 thoughts a day, and that 90-95% of those thoughts are exactly the same, time after time.
Well when it comes to our bodies, or body-image, it’s more like 99% of the time. For instance, if you’re concerned about your stomach, then when you hop out of the shower, that’s all you see, your belly. Or if it’s wrinkles around your eyes, then you might not see your toned thighs, but only those pesky wrinkles. No matter what the imperfection, or area for improvement, we give it a disproportionate amount of our attention.
And based on the law of attraction, what we think about, is what we bring about. So focusing on what we don’t like, or what’s bothering us, only makes more of it.
Instead, if we focus on what we do like, we bring more of that about as well.
On top of that, we get more comfortable in our skin, or more comfortable with our bodies. This means greater self-confidence, healthier relationships, we become attractor magnets for more positive experiences in our lives, and yes, better body image, can also mean, better sex. Why? Because we’re more comfortable and confident, and that comes across to our partner as well!
This meditation is really simple. We’re going to do a full body scan…looking only, and always for the positives. Remember what you resist, persists, so no looking for “negatives” or imperfections. Save that for another day, and may the nother day never come.
Instead, let’s look for those amazing positives you have. And you do have them. We all do!
For this meditation, I highly recommend laying down if at all possible. And getting good and comfortable, yes, this means a blanket or pillow too if that helps.

Don Miguel Ruiz JR, is the author of two very special books, The Five Levels of Attachment: Toltec Wisdom for the Modern World, and Living a Life of Awareness, Toltec Wisdom for the Modern World.
You may be familiar with his father, who’s written some of the most beautiful spiritual books such as The Four agreements: A guide to Personal Freedom.
At the age of 14, don Miguel Ruiz Jr. apprenticed to his father don Miguel Sr. and his grandmother, a faith healer, Madre Sarita. From that early age, he was called upon to translate Madre Sarita's prayers, lectures and workshops from Spanish into English. In this way, through constant repetition and review, he learned the content of her teachings in both languages.
Don Miguel Jr.'s apprenticeship lasted 10 years. When he reached his mid-20's, his father intensified his training. At the apex of this power journey don Miguel said to his eldest son, "Find your way out. Go home and master Death by becoming alive."
For the past eight years, don Miguel Jr. has applied the lessons learned from his father and grandmother to define and enjoy his own personal freedom while achieving peace with all of creation.
Today, don Miguel Jr. is married and has two young children. And so, as a Nagual he begins once again to pass along the wisdom and the tools of his family's traditions in helping others to achieve their own personal freedom and optimal physical and spiritual health.
I am so excited to have don Miguel Ruiz Junior on the show, I think there’s so much we can learn from him, from Toltec wisdom, and from his experience as a bridge between the wisdom of the past, and the wackiness of today.

You can do this any time of the day, and I’d particularly recommend it any time you’re stressed, about to perform, have a meeting, or need a clear mind to think at your best.

This is a very simple meditation, that involves just a bit of movement to get the Chi, or energy unstuck and flowing again, from your brain, through your neck, and throughout your body. So you’ll want to do this sitting upright with either both feet symettrically on the floor, or sitting cross-legged good and tall.
I’ll guide you through it, but in short, you’ll exhale as you turn your head to the left. Then inhale as you bring it back. Then exhale as you turn to the right. Then inhale as you bring it back, then exhale as you bring your head up, then inhale as you bring it down. Then exhale as you drop your chin, then inhale as you bring it up.
For this exercise always exhale and inhale through the nose.
Lastly, never turn your head to the point of discomfort, and begin lightly, with only a few repetitions. You can build up over time, strengthening your neck muscles and gaining flexibility. But begin with only 3-5 minutes, and never do this two days in a row, until your neck muscles have grown accustomed to it. However, after that time, feel free to gradually do as much as you’d like. I know before a big talk, I might do ten minutes, even twenty minutes of this exercise to quiet my mind, get my creative flowing, and feel energized all over!

Hi everyone, this is Michael Sandler, your host on inspire nation. Today we have a very simple, yet powerful inspirational and motivational meditation to help you recharge and feel at your best! This is a meditation I used years ago to literally help save my life. I fell in a hiking accident, shattering my hip and femur, and was stuck in a freezing cold creek, bleeding out internally. I stopped breathing, and had a near-death experience, but that’s something for another day.
But when I came back I needed to find a way to keep breathing until rescue crews could get to me. And so I did this meditation which I’d used in different ways for years. Thankfully I was well-versed at it, and it worked.
You can do this meditation sitting upright, or laying down. Or even broken on the rocks. Technically, you can do it driving as well, but I rarely recommend meditating and driving together, and I wouldn’t recommend it here.
You can do this meditation any time of the day, all you need is a few quiet moments, and a place to relax.

A note on this meditation:
For this meditation you’re going to take nice, slow, deep breaths. As usual, I’d recommend in through the nose, and out through the nose as well. But if you have to, inhale through the nose, and out nice and slow through the mouth.
We’re going to do this meditation in a really fun way, focusing on ourselves first, and then on others. There’s a few key reasons for this. First off, compassion rules. The more we cultivate compassion for ourselves and for others, the more we help raise the vibration of the entire planet.
Secondly, science shows we release chemicals, happy-drugs in the brain, when we’re focused on helping others, that aren’t released when we’re focused on ourselves. This means we get a double-benefit, we get to help others, which helps us too, and by helping others, we get a direct benefit as well!
It’s an exceptionally simple meditation, in essence, we’re going to breathe in light, and breathe out love. Don’t worry, I’ll explain as we do it.

Last, talks about the value of helping others and changing the world, and that change, truly is an inside job. Change ourselves first and foremost, just as loving ourselves first and foremost, to change the world.
